We believe that every child is perfect and whole as they are, and it is our job to translate mindfulness and yoga to each child in a way that reaches them in the best way that we can.

Join Elizabeth Goranson, creator of Stretch What Matters and KidPowerment's Founder,  Christyn Schroeder for a workshop that lays the groundwork for creating an inclusive yoga program that is accessible to children with special needs, including those with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disabilities, and anxiety.

We will:

  • Review the unique needs of children with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disabilities, learning disabilities, and anxiety

  • Learn how to formally and informally gather information about children in order to design a program that supports every child

  • Understand how to accommodate different learning styles through each component of a KidPowerment Yoga class

  • Learn how to use the components of yoga to teach independence, self advocacy, social thinking, speech and language, and social emotional regulation skills

  • Demonstrate yoga poses with the Stretch What Matters Yoga System
